BLESST has a unique leadership structure with a huge focus on developing deprived families and young people from local communities. BLESST CIC as a business was kick-started in May 2019 while the infrastructure was formed during the financial year 2020-2021, bringing organised activities and services that will benefit the community in the following ways:
Providing support and employability-ready training for disadvantaged young people and families from local communities living in the west midlands and North Birmingham surrounding areas. This is through helping communities to engage with their long-life learning, through the building of self, community safe space learning, cultural identity and better public and community relationships that empower people from deprived communities to have a better transition of suitable social change for the common good through sharing best models of practices, youth leadership, new skills sets and innovated learning and safe space access for young people community activities, community development, and empowerment while supporting and focusing on mental health and emotional well being through a number of holistic methodologies research and research data. This works with Blesst’s structure as the issues with a heavy emphasis on building a legacy for future generations of disadvantaged young people and adults with a sustainable prevention structure that works with building young leaders, families and communities to have a better life transition.
The BLESST CIC will provide a number of full/part-time employment for local residents, voluntary, and work placements
and providing a number of services: young people after-school activities, youth workshops, and youth self-discovery empowerment programs. We also provide employability-ready programs and higher education pathways and family crisis drop in which apply; applicable skills sets, youth & leadership/self-empowerment, community organising, mental and emotional well-being. Young people and community will have access to our media/ video green room programs and top-quality music studios supported by our community music mentors where new innovations of learning can be transformed for each and every one.

Youth Self Discovery Programme

An 8-week Youth Self Discovery & Development Empowerment programme known as 'Creative Exploration with Music and Media.' An opportunity for young people to explore self, identity, belonging, and lived experience in a safe and creative space.

I Am Community
MAY 2022
I am Community is a community initiative designed to put the community's voice at the forefront of community reform and development. The plan is to ask members of the community to engage in the community imperative questions about Black communities' position on key issues, such as youth violence, mental health, public health, unemployment, opportunities, lack of safe spaces, community gatekeepers, hyper/toxic masculinity, toxic femininity & barriers of economic black growth. and what and how your community's organisation support your community.
IN- REACH NHSÂ HEALTH PROJECT
BLESST CIC was involved in commissioning with NHSBT bringing conversation and awareness to the north Birmingham BAME communities of why they don't donate blood, barriers and issues with NHS at the Legacy Centre in Newtown Birmingham UK, Black Barbershops, and Black hair salons.
Creating Young Community Leaders

The Contemplation Music Writing Project develops communication skills, creative self-expression, character education, and values clarification in young people through reflection, writing, discussion, and self-assessment.
Children and young people learn to know themselves better we can help them develop an inner compass to discover their own creativity, self-motivation, and emotional intelligence needed for learning and living especially those with learning writing difficulties.
