 Youth Empowerment 

This project was created during the COVID pandemic, focusing on the well being and emotional well being of young people, the program focuses allowing young people to have a safe space to rediscover self. The 8-week programme and framework of the eight keys of Gisela Konopka (1973) & Karen Pittman (1991), identifies the critical elements essential to the health development of young people and older youth will benefit from some or all of our programme elements.

Youth Leadership Social Action

BLESST is one of the first to create and train youth into becoming Youth & Community Organisers, which gives young people a voice of the next generation, taking part and leading on social actions that matter to them.

Our young leaders are already involved in tackling emotional well-being with the growing challenge of young peoples mental health and policy changes.

Young People's Mentoring & Coaching

Aimed for young people ages 10-18, this designed to provide guidance, support and skills development that empowers young individuals in various aspects of their lives.

 

Through a combination of mentoring and coaching weekly sessions, participants will gain necessary tools, knowledge, and confidence to overcome challenges, set and achieve goals, and reach their full potential.

Young People Creative with Media/Film

​Our Media & Film program empowers young people

aged 10-18 to change negative narratives by providing

them a platform to express themselves, boosting their

confidence and self-esteem in the digital age. Through

our activities, we raise awareness and promote learning about social, cultural, and environmental issues, enhancing critical thinking and exposing participants to diverse perspectives. This enables them to address important topics like bullying, discrimination, mental health, and environmental sustainability, ensuring their voices are heard in the digital world.

Youth Community Organising

Empowering Youth Community Organiser with Citizens UK Birmingham introduces a national initiative for young people aged 12-18. To develop leadership skills to drive positive change and engagement with their communities through training and workshops, supported by senior leaders and Citizens UK. As youth community organisers, they learn to communicate their ideas, engage diverse stakeholders, and foster innovative problem-solving to address community challenges.
