Pauline Wright has been working with the youth of Handsworth for over 30 years. With almost 30% of the population in Handsworth being under 18 and unemployment over 14%, compared to the National average of only 5.8%, Pauline is eager to support more initiatives like ‘DigitalTycoons’. Pauline, Manager at Law Leisure and Learning said, “We need more direct funding to local NGO’s to develop these schemes by the people on the ground who really understand the deprivation and hardships of the community we work in. ‘Digital Tycoons’ has really fired up the imagination of our young entrepreneurs of tomorrow, but we need more locally inspired initiatives to reach out to more of our young people. Many will miss many employment opportunities without proper funding and investment."
Kind Regards,
Pauline Wright
